Cascade Covent MOPS Snoqualmie Valley north BEndCascade Covenant MOPS

Leadership

At the core of the local MOPS group is a Steering Team of committed leaders who set the tone for the rest of the group.  Here is an introduction to your Steering Team Leaders...

Heidi Cogle- Coordinator
I have been married for almost 14 years and have lived here in the valley for 12 years.  I have 2 boys, one in 4th grade and one in preschool.  We love all the local activities that the area has to offer.  I'm a huge movie buff and also enjoy stamping.  I feel blessed to have been a part of MOPS for 3 years and look forward to serving as coordinator of this fantastic group of ladies!  I sure am excited to see everyone this next year.  We are going to have a blast! chcogle@yahoo.com

Keri Barrie- Discussion Group Team Leader
I have been married for 11 years to a fabulous man and have 3 daughters.  As many of you know, our middle is adopted from China and the third is a result of that adoption!!! I have now entered MOPS for many more great years to come!!! I have been a part of MOPS for 7 years now and love to serve others and make them comfortable. I also love to chat with other moms about this, that and the other! I am looking forward to a great year with all of you special ladies!

Jen Covey- Creative Activities
I have been married for 10 years, have lived in North Bend for 9 years, and we have two energetic boys, ages 2 and 5. This is my 3rd year in MOPS, and I get more out of MOPS, personally, each year that I'm more involved. I love artsy-craftsy projects, in fact most nights I'd rather work on a craft project than go to bed.  I rarely get to finish things at home, whether it is finishing a project, a meal, or a sentence. I enjoy MOPS because I get to do all of those things, even in the same morning!

Laura Whitworth- Finance

Christina Belaire- Hospitality

Kristin Anders- Coordinator Mentor
I have been married for 8 years and we have 2 sweet little girls. We moved here about a year and a half ago from Dallas, Texas.  I was apart of a MOPS group in Dallas and loved it! Before we even moved I started looking for a MOPS group here.  Without a doubt, MOPS is the highlight of my week.  I get recharged by having an uninterrupted conversation with another adult, sipping a HOT cup of coffee or giggling with other moms about our toddler antics. I hope you will be refreshed and recharged when you leave on Thursday mornings. I am looking forward to seeing all the new and familiar faces that will be joining this year.

Anne Westfall- Mentor Mom
Anne Westfall was born in West Virginia. She went to college there where she met and later married Steven.  They moved to Ohio when their oldest daughter, Stephanie was 3 years old.   Steven left teaching at that time and began working  for the Standard Oil Company.  Their other two living daughters Jennifer and Kristy  were born in Ohio.    Anne taught school in Ohio as a reading intervention specialist for 30 years.  Last year in June, 2006,  Anne and Steve moved to WA to live near their daughters  and six wonderful grandchildren.  Anne and Steve visited Cascade Covenant Church with their daughter, Jennifer, and decided to make it their church, too.  Anne considers herself blessed to have been introduced to Jesus Christ and His church at a very early age,  and to know Him as she walks through the trials of life.  She wants to continue serving Him in her retirement.

Wendy Williams- Lead Mentor
I have been married to my best friend for 34 years. We have been blessed with  two children, who are both married, and three very special granddaughters. My husband and I moved here from Spokane two years ago, and I love being "back home" ( I grew up in this area). We have just moved into a house we are building on Mt. Si road (not finished, but liveable). I also love working with young moms and sharing God's love with them, and am delighted to be a part of MOPS.

Déta Sinclair- Mentor Mom
My name is Déta Sinclair and I am a new Mentor Mom.  I have been married to Bob for 19 years.  We adopted two boys: Izzak when he was 13 days old and who is now 15, and Kaleb when he was 3 1/2 months old and who is now 13.  They are 18 months apart in age.  I was in MOPS when Izzak was 22 months old and Kaleb was 4 months old.  I was an older mom, 35 when we adopted and I was in way over my head with two boys.  MOPS saved my sanity and taught me to be a godly mom to these two blessings.  I was asked by Liz Leitz to pray about being a Mentor Mom here in North Bend and God said yes!  I want to give back in the way I was blessed and taught.  A Mentor Mom will be just the thing.

Barbara Stoll- Mentor Mom
I was born and raised in Michigan.  I moved to the Seattle area in 1967 and to North Bend in 1987.  I have 4 children ranging in age from 28 to 39 years old.  Mandi is my youngest daughter and she is my best friend.  I truly enjoyed raising my children and had to work through all the problems that come from living paycheck to paycheck while providing a loving home.  My 2 granddaughters are my greatest blessing.  Being a grandmother is the most wonderful job you can ever have.  I am married and retired from FedEx after working as a Sales Coordinator for nearly 22 years.
